  • Spring loaded seats for good tightness at low differential pressure
  • Complete range of actuators and accessories for manual operation, on/off or control applications.

Ball valves (Type S36)

Description

  • Dimensions DN8 - DN100
  • Pressure class PN50
  • Full cylindrical bore for maximum capacity
  • Two alternative seat materials: fibreglass reinforced PTFE or carbon filled PTFE
  • Three alternative pipe connections. Threaded, weld ends or flanged

Check valves

Description

  • Dimensions DN50 - DN600
  • Pressure classes PN10 - PN25
  • High capacity means low pressure drop and minimal energy loss
  • Closing time is short due to the seat angle in the body
  • Replacable shafts for ease of maintenance

Actuators Type A-DA and A-SC/SO

Description

SOMAS actuator type A is designed for control- and on/off applications. This actuator is primarily intended for use with SOMAS ball valves, ball segment valves and butterfly valves.

SOMAS actuator type A-DA is double-acting and designed to meet the highest requirements for control applications. Special attention has been made to achieve low friction zero backlash. The coupling eliminates backlash between actuator and valve which optimizes control performance.

A13-SCSOMAS single-acting actuator type A-SC/SO is in principle identical to the A-DA-actuator, the difference being a spring device for opening or closing function at air failure.

All of our actuators have passed comprehensive quality control before shipping and all our solutions meet the demands of the process industry for function and reliability.

Accessories: Positioners

Description

SOMAS pneumatic positioner, type SP405, and electropneumatic positioner, type SPE405) is intended for actuators with a rotary motion up to 90°. They are easily mounted on SOMAS actuators, either directly or by means of a patented mounting.

Accessories: Solenoid valve

Description

For on/off-applications the supply air is fed through a solenoid valve mounted directly on the actuator. SOMAS use products from well-known manufacturers, which makes it possible to create custom-made solutions for special functions.

The tubing between solenoid and actuator is made of plastic or stainless steel.

Accessories: Limit switches

Description

Many on/off applications require an indication for closed and/or open position.

SOMAS offers a wide range of alternative solutions including micro-switches as well as proximity switches.

Control valves

Description

  • Ball segment valves dimensions DN25/2 - DN700
  • Butterfly valves dimensions DN80 - DN1200
  • Ball valves dimensions DN25 - DN400
  • Pressure classes PN10 - PN100
  • Backlash-free torque transfer between actuator and valve
  • Backlash-free coupling between actuator and positioner

On/off valves

Description

  • Ball valves dimensions DN25 - DN400
  • Ball segment valves dimensions DN25 - DN700
  • Butterfly valves dimensions DN80 - DN1200
  • Pressure classes PN10 - PN100

Manual valves

Description

  • Ball segment valves dimensions DN25 - DN700
  • Butterfly valves dimensions DN80 - DN1200
  • Ball valves dimensions DN25 - DN400
  • Pressure classes PN10 - PN100

Cargo valves

Description

  • Dimensions DN80 - DN400
  • Pressure Classes PN10 - PN25 and ANSI150
  • Valve body in wafer style or lugged version
  • Unique disc design and solid metal seat give tightness according to IEC 534-4 class V and with PTFE seat class VI
  • For applications with temperatures up to 350°C

Cryogenic valves

Description

  • Butterfly valves dimensions DN80 - DN500.
  • Ball segment valves dimensions DN25 - DN250.
  • Pressure classes PN10 - PN50.
  • Made from acid-proof stainless steel SS2343-12, the valves have a temperature operating range from -196 °C to 200 °C. Valves with a soft seat have a slighty reduced upper limit to their temperature operating range.
  • Butterfly valves with metal seat and ball segment valves with Hi-Co seat provide good tightness to IEC 534-4 class V.
  • Butterfly valves with PTFE seat and ball segment valves with PTFE seat provide good tightness to IEC 534-4 klass VI.
  • The butterfly valve version is of the advanced triple-eccentric design
  • Easy maintenance since the seats in our butterfly and ball segment valves can be replaced without removing the actuator or any need for complete disassembly of the valve.
  • Can be supplied in a de-greased, lubricant free version for operation in oxygen rich envirionments.

Exhaust valves

Description

  • Butterfly valve dimensions DN80 - DN500
  • Excentric ball segment valve dimensions DN25 - DN65 classes PN10 - PN25
  • Butterfly valves with metal seating and ball segment valves with HiCo-seat have excellent tightness to IEC 534-4 class V
  • Backlash-free operation and accurate control between valve and actuator as well as between actuator and positioner
  • Easy maintenance since the seats in our butterfly and ball segment valves can be replaced without removing the actuator or any need for complete disassembly of the valve

Basis weight valves

Description

  • Ball segment valve dimensioner DN50 - DN350
  • Pressure classes PN10 - PN50
  • The ball segment valve has PTFE-seat and PTFE stuffing box which provides low friction in the control position. The PTFE seat provides good tightness in the off position, even if this is not so important for a basis weight valve
  • Body design makes maintenance easy. Seat can be exchanged or replaced without removing the actuator or dismantling the valve.
